How to get to San Juan Cotzal

Leaving Antigua, Panajachel or Xela, the trip has 2 parts:

1. Part 1: To Santa Cruz Quiche (“Quiche”)

From Antigua: Take a shuttle to Chichicastenango (“Chichi”) and from Chichi take a bus to Quiche. Or take a bus to Chimaltenango. Immediately cross the Pan-American Highway and take a bus to Quiche.
From Panajachel or Xela: Take a bus to Los Encuentros, from there, you can take a bus to “Quiché”.

1. Part 2: From “Quiché” to Nebaj and Cotzal

Take a bus or minibus to Nebaj or to San Juan Cotzal from the bus terminal (in Quiche?), depending on where you are spending the night. There are frequent buses until 4pm.
